Deck overview

This deck is a five-color casual spellslinger midrange build led by Codie, Vociferous Codex. The entire list is dedicated to instant and sorcery spells, bypassing Codie's permanent-casting restriction while turning every cast into two spells. The deck focuses on land-based ramp, card draw, and flexible modal charms to survive the early game before transitioning into massive token-generating sorceries like Storm Herd, Rise from the Tides, and Ghastly Conscription. Because the deck does not rely on fast mana or infinite combos, it aims to establish a wide board state by Turn 6 and overwhelm the table through combat damage over the subsequent two turns. While the lack of permanent spells prevents classic equipment and stax pieces, the high spell density gives the deck continuous card flow and powerful board wipes to reset unfavorable boards.
