Deck overview

Abzan toughness-matters beatdown. Doran, Besieged by Time is the cost-reducing combat pump, while a web of 'assign combat damage equal to toughness' effects (Doran, the Siege Tower, Assault Formation, Bedrock Tortoise, Huatli, Ancient Lumberknot) turns 0-power walls into real clocks. The deck ramps through dorks and signets, attacks with small-but-growing toughness creatures, and protects/recur them after wipes. Secondary paths use Tree of Perdition to set life totals, Betor's 40-toughness drain, and Sapling Nursery treefolk tokens. There are no infinite combos and no counterspells; resilience comes from redundancy and recursion rather than speed. The hidden commander is classic Doran; the actual commander supplies discount and attack/block pump that makes every high-toughness creature a bigger version of itself.
