Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Reanimator Midrange strategy commanded by Sauron, the Dark Lord. It leverages Sauron's oppressive ward trigger and passive Orc Army generation to dominate board states and repeatedly refill the hand through Ring temptation triggers. Early turns focus on establishing mana rocks and binning high-impact payoffs such as Archon of Cruelty, Sheoldred, Whispering One, and Cavern-Hoard Dragon using Entomb, Faithless Looting, and Frantic Search. Once an attrition engine or Sauron is established on Turn 5, the deck snowballs card advantage and life totals. Mid-to-late turns capitalize on massive reanimation spells like Living Death and Breach the Multiverse, granting haste via Anger and doubling damage through Twinflame Tyrant to overwhelm opponents across combat steps. The deck combines steady asymmetric disruption, high threat density, and exceptional graveyard recovery to grind out table-wide victories.
