Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis spellslinger strategy focused on converting noncreature spells into a massive Orc Army token using Saruman, the White Hand. The list establishes early mana acceleration through low-cost mana rocks and cost reducers like Baral, Chief of Compliance and Goblin Electromancer. Once Saruman is deployed, every instant, sorcery, and artifact adds counters to the Army token while triggering value engines like Archmage Emeritus and Storm-Kiln Artist. The deck protects its board through efficient countermagic and native ward protection. Once the Army reaches lethal proportions, the deck finishes opponents through direct power-scaling burn spells like Chandra's Ignition, Essence Harvest, and Fling, or unblockable combat attacks via Rogue's Passage. Backup win conditions like Lord of the Nazgûl ensure resilient pressure even if the commander is removed.
