Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Dimir Zombie Aristocrats build that leverages tribal synergies, rapid graveyard recursion, and compact infinite combos to close games quickly. Commanded by Grimgrin, Corpse-Born, the list functions primarily as a combo engine centered around Gravecrawler. By combining Gravecrawler with mana-producing sacrifice outlets like Phyrexian Altar or Warren Soultrader and drain payoffs like Diregraf Captain, Plague Belcher, or The Meathook Massacre, the deck creates instant-win loops as early as Turn 4. Dense low-cost ramp and powerful black tutors ensure consistent assembly, while draw engines such as Skullclamp, Undead Augur, and Cryptbreaker keep the hand full. Although the list has limited stack-based countermagic and proactive stax pieces, its deep recursion suite allows it to rebuild shattered board states rapidly and pivot seamlessly into secondary win conditions like Mikaeus, the Unhallowed loops or massive Gray Merchant of Asphodel life drains.
