Deck overview

This is a Golgari equipment-voltron deck built to extract maximum value from Yargle and Multani's 18-power body. The game plan is to accelerate into the six-mana commander, give it haste, trample, and deathtouch, and convert a single unblocked swing into 18 commander damage. Two hits kill a player, while one-shot pumps like Overprotect and Blitzball Shot can make a single hit 21+ and lethal, and Vorpal Sword turns any combat hit into an outright kill once its ability is active. The 99 leans heavily into redundancy: seventeen equipment, over a dozen haste-granting effects, and roughly ten hexproof/indestructible protection spells mean the plan re-executes even after wipes. There is no infinite combo and no real card-advantage engine; the deck instead wins through repeatable, resilient combat pressure and political tools like Assault Suit, which lets opponents swing the 18/6 at each other while it cannot attack you. Secondary trinkets like Scute Swarm, Retreat to Hagra, and The Destined Black Mage provide incidental chip damage.
