Ode to Grixis, Cascade Burn Beatdown by Jimmynova93

Format: Commander

Commander: Abaddon the Despoiler

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Grixis cascade value deck, helmed by Abaddon the Despoiler, aims to snowball incremental damage into explosive cascading turns. The primary game plan is to deal life loss to opponents early via evasive creatures like Loyal Subordinate or spells like Delayed Blast Fireball, then deploy Abaddon to grant cascade to cheap spells. The deck then chains cascades into more damage, card draw, or demonic threats, eventually overwhelming opponents with the Bloodletter of Aclazotz + Chandra s Ignition one-shot, or repeated extra combats from Bloodthirster. The commander is a powerful value engine but not essential - the deck can still operate through its demon beatdown and exile-cast synergies (Nalfeshnee, Wild-Magic Sorcerer). However, its high average mana value and lack of quick tutors make it a midrange/grindy strategy that rewards careful sequencing.
