Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Mono-Green Stompy build centered on casting Ghalta, Primal Hunger turns ahead of schedule. The core engine deploys low-cost, high-power creatures such as Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Rhonas the Indomitable alongside efficient mana dorks on Turns 1 through 3. This rapidly builds 10 or more total power on the battlefield, reducing Ghalta's casting cost to just {G}{G} as early as Turn 4. Once assembled, Ghalta enters as an imposing 12/12 trampler that immediately activates power-based card draw engines like Garruk's Uprising and Elemental Bond. The deck pressures opponents through massive trample damage, scaling threats with doubling and pump effects including Unnatural Growth, Tyvar, the Pummeler, and Overwhelming Stampede, or closing games swiftly with Triumph of the Hordes. While vulnerable to mass board sweepers that reset creature power, high threat redundancy and resilient backups enable consistent mid-game recovery and relentless combat lethality.
