Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai Elf combo and engine deck piloted by Thranduil, the Elvenking. It merges traditional Elfball mana acceleration with graveyard toolbox recursion, turning the commander into a modular win condition. By leveraging Thranduil's static ability to inherit all activated abilities of Elf cards in the graveyard, the deck uses efficient entomb effects like Buried Alive and Entomb to assemble instant-speed infinite combos. The primary line bins Devoted Druid and Immaculate Magistrate, enabling Thranduil to place infinite +1/+1 counters on creatures and untap infinitely while producing infinite mana. The deck converts this advantage into an immediate table kill in the same turn via Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord or Deathrite Shaman. If the commander is disrupted, the deck pivots smoothly to tabletop Elfball aggression with Lathril, Blade of the Elves or backup infinite mana engines using Ashaya, Soul of the Wild and Argothian Elder.
