Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet Spellslinger Voltron strategy helmed by Rielle, the Everwise. The game plan revolves around leveraging cheap looting and rummaging spells—such as Faithless Looting, Careful Study, Cathartic Reunion, and Tolarian Winds—to trigger Rielle's ability, transforming symmetric discard into massive card advantage while rapidly loading the graveyard with instants and sorceries. This fuel inflates Rielle's power to double digits, enabling quick commander damage eliminations via Temur Battle Rage and Fists of Flame. A dense suite of low-mana countermagic and protection spells defends Rielle while she eliminates opponents sequentially across three combat steps. Alternate threats like Haughty Djinn, Murktide Regent, and Tolarian Terror provide resilient backup clocks if the commander is removed.
