Deck overview

This mono-red aggressive Voltron deck centers on Slicer, Hired Muscle // Slicer, High-Speed Antagonist. By casting Slicer on Turn 2 or 3 for its {2}{R} alternate cost, the deck weaponizes opponents' combat phases. Slicer passes to each player during their upkeep, untapping and gaining goad and double strike while preventing sacrifice. This setup generates up to 21 commander damage in a single table rotation. Equipment like Gimli's Axe, Beamtown Beatstick, and Loxodon Warhammer augment Slicer with extra power, evasion, and lifelink. Meanwhile, damage multipliers such as Jeska, Thrice Reborn and Death Kiss rapidly push lethal thresholds. If Slicer is removed or suppressed, Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos provides a near-identical backup threat. The deck trades reactive disruption and raw card draw for raw speed, applying relentless pressure that forces opponents to expend resources eliminating each other before succumbing to commander damage by Turn 5.
