Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Squirrel tribal deck that leverages token swarm mechanics, acorn counters, and combat anthems to overwhelm opponents. Led by Acornelia, Fashionable Filcher, the deck generates acorn counters whenever Squirrels enter or die, converting those counters into flexible spot removal or surprise power buffs. The deck focuses on ramping during the first three turns, establishing a resilient token generator such as Chatterfang, Squirrel General, Hazel of the Rootbloom, or Deep Forest Hermit on Turn 4, and multiplying token generation across the midgame. Critical pressure peaks around Turn 6 with mass buffs like Beastmaster Ascension, Nut Collector, or Preposterous Proportions, which transform a wide board of 1/1 tokens into lethal combat damage. While the deck possesses strong board-based removal and asymmetric sweepers like Swarmyard Massacre, it lacks stack-based countermagic and relies heavily on surviving board wipes through recovery rather than reactive protection.
