Deck overview

This deck is a specialized Boros big-mana spellslinger strategy built around Lorehold, the Historian. Lorehold gives every instant and sorcery in hand miracle {2} while triggering a discard-and-draw ability at the beginning of each opponent's upkeep. Because drawing during an opponent's upkeep counts as the first card drawn that turn, the deck can cast game-ending sorceries like Rise of the Eldrazi, Storm Herd, and Soulfire Eruption for only {2} mana at instant speed. Topdeck manipulators such as Scroll Rack, Sensei's Divining Top, and Library of Leng ensure that key spells are placed on top of the library right before an opponent's turn begins. The deck protects its commander with free defensive spells like Deflecting Swat and Flawless Maneuver while using attack taxes and board wipes to survive early aggression. Once an overwhelming board or extra turn is secured, Akroma's Will closes out the game in a single decisive attack.
