Deck overview

This Boros extra-combat Dragon deck ramps to cast Velomachus Lorehold, uses its haste attack trigger to look at seven and free-cast extra-combat instants and sorceries, and chains multiple combats to eliminate the table with commander damage and a growing dragon board. Velomachus is the primary card-advantage and mana-cheat engine, not a combo piece, attacking the turn it enters to generate value. Secondary paths are dragon-token swarms via Lathliss, Dragon Queen, Utvara Hellkite and Rite of the Dragoncaller, and inefficient infinite-combat loops with Helm of the Host + Combat Celebrant + Breath of Fury/Scourge of the Throne or Hellkite Charger + Aggravated Assault + Leyline Tyrant + Sozin's Comet. Helm of the Host functions as the hidden commander for redundancy.
