Deck overview

This mono-black deck harnesses the necromantic power of Ghoulcaller Gisa to convert tall creatures into massive Zombie armies. The primary strategy focuses on establishing early Zombie fodder and lords, deploying Gisa on Turn 4 or 5, and activating her ability to double or triple total board power in a single turn. Evasion enablers like Lord of the Accursed, Zombie Master, and Cover of Darkness allow the token swarm to overwhelm defenses, while aristocrat payoffs such as Bastion of Remembrance, Plague Belcher, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel drain opponents directly. Strong attrition engines including Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos, and Noxious Ghoul penalize opponents by wiping their creatures whenever Zombies enter or die. If Gisa is removed, the deck recovers smoothly through graveyard recursion like Victimize and Gravecrawler, or wins independently through sheer tribal synergy and big mana spells.
