Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Boros artifact reanimator and midrange beatdown engine commanded by Queen Kayla bin-Kroog, supported by Zirda, the Dawnwaker as companion. The game plan focuses on deploying Kayla by Turn 3 and activating her on Turn 4 to discard the hand, draw fresh cards, and cheat up to three artifacts or creatures with mana values 1, 2, and 3 directly onto the battlefield. This engine rapidly populates the board with high-impact equipment like Nettlecyst and Lizard Blades, utility creatures, and proactive disruption like Dauntless Dismantler. On Turn 5, the deck transitions into a lethal threat by stacking combat buffs or resolving Armageddon to strip opposing mana while retaining a dominant nonland board. Opponents are eliminated over two response cycles through focused double-strike combat damage and direct burn from Spikeshot Elder or Dragonspark Reactor. The deck maintains high resilience through built-in reanimation, companion synergy, and proactive protection.
