Deck overview

This deck uses Hokori, Dust Drinker to constrain land untaps, then breaks the symmetry with mana rocks. The main plan is to combine Hokori, Dust Drinker with effects such as Winter Orb, Static Orb, Storage Matrix, or Kismet, while tax creatures and spell limits make recovery harder. The deck has substantial redundancy for restriction effects and a useful permanent-removal package. Its central weakness is that it does not convert control into a reliable win. Approach of the Second Sun requires two expensive casts and meaningful card flow, but the list has little tutoring and no dependable draw engine. The creature package can preserve the lock and create incremental pressure, yet it does not reliably deal 120 damage or establish a total lockout. Expect a strong midgame resource-denial position around turn 6, with a long and uncertain path to victory. This is focused casual or general-power stax, not competitive Commander.
