Deck overview

This deck executes an aggressive Mardu creature-cheating strategy commanded by Kaalia of the Vast. The core game plan accelerates Kaalia into play on Turn 3 using dense 2-CMC artifact mana, then attacks on Turn 4 to bypass the high casting costs of legendary Angels, Demons, and Dragons. Cheating cards like Master of Cruelties can eliminate an opponent on the spot, while Gisela, Blade of Goldnight and Avacyn, Angel of Hope create overwhelming combat math and indestructible protection. Asymmetric stax pieces including Linvala, Keeper of Silence and Archfiend of Depravity shut down opposing creature strategies while Kaalia closes the game. Backup cheat mechanics such as Sneak Attack and reanimation spells ensure high-impact threats enter combat even when Kaalia faces heavy removal. An infinite combat combo between Aurelia, the Warleader and Helm of the Host provides an alternate single-turn table finish.
