Deck overview

Mendicant Core, Guidelight commands an Azorius artifact-centric deck built around vehicle synergies, token swarms, and the 'Start your engines!' speed mechanic. In the early game, the deck establishes an accelerated mana curve using low-cost mana rocks, artifact lands, and cost reducers like Etherium Sculptor. As the board develops, token engines such as Sai, Master Thopterist and Thopter Spy Network flood the battlefield with flying Thopter tokens while advancing the commander's speed to unlock artifact spell duplication at max speed. The mid-game transitions into aggressive aerial pressure using scalable threats like Kappa Cannoneer and high-value Vehicles including Skysovereign, Consul Flagship. The primary win condition arrives on Turn 6 via Cyberdrive Awakener, converting all noncreature artifacts into 4/4 flying beaters to deliver overwhelming combat damage. Supported by targeted recursion from Emry, Lurker of the Loch and hexproof protection from Padeem, Consul of Innovation, the deck maintains steady mid-game momentum.
