Deck overview

This Azorius deck adapts a traditional control shell into a potent lifegain-mill hybrid led by Hope Estheim. The primary strategy focuses on assembling low-cost lifegain engines early, converting every point of life gained into direct library destruction for all opponents at each end step. By mid-game, force multipliers such as Bruvac the Grandiloquent, The Wind Crystal, and Rhox Faithmender compound this attrition, rapidly emptying opposing decks while inflating your life total. When mill is resisted, the deck seamlessly pivots to aerial combat through Archangel of Thune, Resplendent Angel, and Akroma's Will. A deep reactive suite consisting of 18 counterspells and removal pieces keeps opposing combo decks in check, while stax pieces like Drannith Magistrate and Teferi, Time Raveler buy the necessary time to close out the game.
