Deck overview

This deck is commanded by Rendmaw, Creaking Nest, focusing on casting multi-type cards to trigger widespread goaded 2/2 Bird token generation. By distributing goaded fliers to every player, the deck turns opponents' combat phases against each other while maintaining a secure life total. A dense package of 1-2 CMC ramp ensures Rendmaw reliably enters on Turn 4. Once established, the deck leverages card draw engines like Toski, Bearer of Secrets, Morbid Opportunist, and Baba Lysaga, Night Witch to maintain momentum. The end game converts the token swarm into decisive victories using asymmetrical overruns like Beastmaster Ascension and Overwhelming Stampede, evasion from Bower Passage, or mass-punishment effects such as Massacre Wurm and Blood Artist. High-quality removal spells like Assassin's Trophy and Deadly Rollick control key threats throughout the match.
