Ur-Dragon by WhiteSoule

Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Five-color Dragon tribal deck centered on The Ur-Dragon's eminence discount and attack trigger. The primary plan is to ramp early, reduce Dragon costs with Shamans and artifacts, then cast The Ur-Dragon and use its attack trigger to draw into and cheat out additional Dragons. Secondary paths use Tiamat and Scion of the Ur-Dragon as tutors, Hellkite Courser to cheat the commander into play, and Dracogenesis to cast Dragons for free. The deck wins through overwhelming combat: Atarka, World Render gives double strike, Scourge of the Throne adds a second combat, and Twinflame Tyrant doubles all damage. Miirym and Terror of the Peaks turn Dragon entries into direct damage. Scion acts as a hidden commander, becoming whichever Dragon the board needs.
