Deck overview

This deck is a high-power mono-blue artifact control deck built around Urza, Lord High Artificer. The strategy focuses on accelerating mana in the opening turns with efficient artifact rocks and cost reducers. Once Urza enters the battlefield on turn 3 or 4, every nonland artifact becomes a mana source producing {U}, creating massive mana acceleration. The deck leverages this advantage to break parity on oppressive stax pieces like Winter Orb, Static Orb, and Stasis by tapping them at the end of an opponent's turn to untap freely. While opponents struggle under severe resource denial, the deck uses Urza's activated ability and card-draw engines to assemble infinite colorless mana using Basalt Monolith and Forensic Gadgeteer. With infinite mana, Urza exiles and casts the entire library, finishing the game immediately with Aetherflux Reservoir or by animating a lethal flying artifact army with Cyberdrive Awakener. Efficient countermagic and removal protect the lock and secure victory.
