Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Selesnya legendary toolbox and stax engine commanded by Captain Sisay. The game plan accelerates mana on Turns 1 and 2 using dense 1-drop mana dorks and land ramp to resolve Sisay on Turn 3. Once active on Turn 4, Sisay acts as an unrestricted tutor engine to assemble an airtight stax lock. The primary win route searches for Gisela, the Broken Blade and Bruna, the Fading Light to meld Brisela, Voice of Nightmares on Turn 5, shutting down all opposing spells with mana value 5 or less. The lock is then reinforced with Gaddock Teeg and Linvala, Keeper of Silence to eliminate all noncreature spells and activated abilities. Backed by tutorable protection such as Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar, Boromir, Warden of the Tower, and Shalai, Voice of Plenty, the deck cleanly transitions into lethal combat damage by Turn 8 with Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite.
