Deck overview

This mono-black reanimator deck utilizes Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist to cheat massive stat-monster creatures into play well ahead of curve. By leveraging dense self-mill, cycling, and discard outlets, the deck fills the graveyard with oversized threats like Death's Shadow, Ancient Stone Idol, and high-power Eldrazi. On turn 4, Xu-Ifit reanimates these behemoths as vanilla Skeleton creatures, entirely bypassing the life-total drawback of Death's Shadow to deploy a 13/13 threat for zero mana. The deck builds an overwhelming board presence by recurring a massive creature every turn cycle, converting them into massive card draw bursts with Disciple of Bolas and Morbid Curiosity or attacking for lethal combat damage. While the deck boasts immense functional redundancy and powerful individual threats, its reanimated creatures lose all printed abilities, leaving them vulnerable to chump blockers and board wipes. With limited stack interaction and noncreature removal, the deck focuses on raw power and graveyard velocity.
