Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mardu aggro and creature-cheat strategy commanded by Kaalia of the Vast. The game plan focuses on deploying Kaalia ahead of curve using low-cost mana rocks and haste enablers, then attacking to cheat enormous Angels, Demons, and Dragons onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The creature suite features devastating combat payoffs, including Master of Cruelties for immediate single-player eliminations, Avacyn, Angel of Hope for comprehensive board protection, and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight and Terror of Mount Velus for lethal combat scaling. Because Kaalia is the primary bottleneck for mana efficiency, the deck incorporates equipment support like Swiftfoot Boots and protection spells like Boros Charm to ensure she connects. The removal package offers flexible answers to opposing threats, while the sheer size and flying evasion of the cheated threats close out games over multiple combat phases.
