Thranduil by user8118108

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking turns the graveyard into an activated-ability library. The primary plan is to mill or tutor key Elves, cast Thranduil, then use his text to activate those Elves' abilities from the graveyard. Selvala, Heart of the Wilds and Deathbloom Ritualist supply the mana, while Staff of Domination untaps and draws into an enormous Exsanguinate. Secondary wins use Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and Lathril, Blade of the Elves to drain directly, plus Elf tokens and landfall pressure from Thranduil, Sindarin Liege // Silvan Rally. The commander is the engine and swarmlord agent: he recasts every tool that milling provides and types whenever another legendary Elf appears.
