Deck overview

This is an Abzan "toughness-matters" engine deck built around the scaling end-step chain of Betor, Kin to All. The plan is to flood the board with high-toughness walls, defender mana-dorks, and Doran-style toughness-assigners (Doran, the Siege Tower, Bedrock Tortoise, Felothar the Steadfast), using them to ramp, draw, and eventually swing for enormous toughness-based damage. The primary kill, however, is Betor's 40-toughness "each opponent loses half their life" trigger, which becomes an instant table kill when combined with a life-loss doubler like Wound Reflection, Archfiend of Despair, or Bloodletter of Aclazotz. Secondary paths include giant combat beatdowns under Unnatural Growth and Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus, life-total manipulation with Tree of Perdition and Tree of Redemption, and mass board dumps via Last March of the Ents and Tooth and Nail. It is a midrange value deck that leans heavily on its commander for the knockout blow.
