Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity mono-red burn and combo deck commanded by Balin, Loremaster. The primary strategy focuses on deploying low-cost historic permanents like artifact lands and mana rocks to immediately satisfy Balin's Storied requirement upon entry. Once Storied is active, copying Balin with red clone spells like Molten Duplication, Twinflame, and Heat Shimmer triggers his entry ability repeatedly. Because state-based actions send the duplicate legendary to the graveyard after the trigger is placed, each clone discards and redraws the hand, dealing table-wide burn equal to the discarded hand size. Burn amplifiers such as Torbran, Thane of Red Fell, Mechanized Warfare, and Artist's Talent rapidly accelerate damage output into lethal thresholds. Secondary engines like Brallin, Skyshark Rider, Glint-Horn Buccaneer, and an infinite combat loop with Dualcaster Mage and Twinflame ensure the deck can reliably eliminate all three opponents by Turn 5 or Turn 6 without relying on combat damage.
