Deck overview

This mono-black K'rrik deck is an aristocrats drain deck that wins by looping death triggers rather than combat. K'rrik accelerates black spells by paying life and grows when you cast them, but the win does not require him. The primary engine sacrifices recursive creatures like Gravecrawler and Forsaken Miner to outlets such as Carrion Feeder, Ashnod's Altar, and Warren Soultrader, draining opponents with Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, and Ayara. Secondary wins use Exquisite Blood with Marauding Blight-Priest for infinite life-drain and Orcish Bowmasters with Peer into the Abyss to ping opponents as they draw half their library. Bolas's Citadel and Gray Merchant provide grind and reach.
