Commander: Anowon, the Ruin Thief

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Rogue tribal mill strategy helmed by Anowon, the Ruin Thief. The primary game plan is to deploy a swarm of Rogues, attack to trigger Anowon's mill-and-draw ability, and gradually fill opponents' graveyards. The deck accelerates the mill clock with mass-mill spells like Maddening Cacophony and Traumatize, often combined with Bruvac the Grandiloquent to double the mill and enable a one-shot kill on all opponents. Notorious Throng provides an extra turn when a Rogue has dealt combat damage, helping chain attacks. The deck also includes a recursion suite to bring back key Rogues, along with interactive spells such as counterspells and targeted removal. The overall plan is a linear, synergy-driven mill deck that wins through library depletion rather than infinite combos.
