Deck overview

This Mardu deck utilizes Vihaan, Goldwaker to convert accumulated Treasure tokens into an aggressive, vigilant 3/3 Construct Assassin combat force. Early turns focus on establishing efficient Treasure producers such as Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer, Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff, and Black Market Connections. Once Vihaan enters the battlefield on Turn 4, every Treasure doubles as both mana acceleration and an agile attacker, bypassing traditional summoning sickness constraints. The deck complements its wide combat swings with aristocrat drain effects from Mirkwood Bats, Nadier's Nightblade, and Kambal, Profiteering Mayor, ensuring that cracking Treasures for mana or sacrificing them to removal inflicts direct life loss on the table. High-impact engines like Smothering Tithe and Cavern-Hoard Dragon rapidly scale token volume to lethal thresholds. While susceptible to mass artifact sweepers and targeted commander removal, dormant Treasures dodge sorcery-speed creature wipes, enabling swift recovery and sustained pressure across multi-turn combat rotations.
