Deck overview

This deck is a focused Simic Merfolk tribal strategy helmed by Hakbal of the Surging Soul. The core game plan revolves around deploying a wide board of Merfolk, leveraging the tribal lord suite, and exploiting the commander's explore trigger to rapidly grow creatures and accelerate land drops. The deck generates incremental value through +1/+1 counter synergies, card draw tied to combat or counter removal, and a modest interaction suite to protect its board. The primary path to victory is sustained combat damage from an ever-growing army, supplemented by lord effects and evasion from islandwalk and unblockable creatures. The deck does not run infinite combos, instead relying on consistent pressure and resource advantage to overwhelm opponents.
