Deck overview

This deck is a Boros Aristocrats and Midrange Combo strategy commanded by Hofri Ghostforge. The deck leverages Hofri's unique ability to exile dying nontoken creatures and generate hasty, buffed Spirit copies, effectively doubling the value and enter-the-battlefield triggers of every utility creature. It pairs this recursion engine with temporary theft spells like Mob Rule and Mass Mutiny, turning stolen opposing creatures into permanent Spirit tokens when sacrificed to outlets such as Goblin Bombardment or Phyrexian Altar. The deck smooths its consistency using versatile creature tutors like Imperial Recruiter and Recruiter of the Guard, which can retrieve value engines, protection pieces like Grand Abolisher, or combo finishers. Victory is achieved through explosive same-turn infinite loops, primarily Twinflame paired with Dualcaster Mage or Reveillark cycling with Karmic Guide, supported by robust protective spells including Deflecting Swat, Flare of Fortitude, and Teferi's Protection.
