Format: Commander

Commander: Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a midrange Orzhov lifegain-aristocrats deck helmed by Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim. The plan centers on early soul-sister effects and token producers to accumulate life, then converting that life into table-wide drains via payoffs like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, and Enduring Tenacity. Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim serves as a cheap sac outlet for life and, once far enough ahead, targeted exile removal. Secondary paths include big X-spells (Debt to the Deathless), Aetherflux Reservoir lasers, devotion drains from Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and combat backed by counters from Karlov of the Ghost Council or Nykthos Paragon. The deck grinds value through recursion and death triggers rather than explosive infinite turns, leveraging its dense lifegain package to out-attrition pods while chipping opponents out.
