Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan toxic midrange deck led by Vishgraz, the Doomhive. The primary strategy focuses on deploying Vishgraz ahead of curve, generating 1/1 Phyrexian Mite tokens with toxic 1, and using blink spells to repeatedly trigger token creation while shielding key threats. Early toxic creatures like Crawling Chorus and Bilious Skulldweller apply early poison counters to enable corrupted abilities. Once opponents receive initial poison, Vishgraz grows into a massive menace attacker while proliferate engines such as Evolution Sage, Throne of Geth, and Vraska's Fall accelerate the table toward ten poison counters. Supporting enchantments like Inspiring Leader and Behind the Scenes grant evasion and power to the token army. In addition, disruptive pieces such as Rule of Law and Liesa, Shroud of Dusk slow opposing combo lines. The deck offers resilient board rebuilding through flicker effects and alternate token engines like Ria Ivor, Bane of Bladehold.
