Deck overview

This mono-blue deck leverages Orvar, the All-Form to turn cheap, single-target instants and sorceries into powerful permanent cloning effects. During the early turns, the deck hits land drops and deploys its commander on Turn 4. From there, 1-mana spells targeting lands generate immediate mana acceleration. The midgame focuses on churning through the library using cantrips and buyback spells such as Whim of Volrath and Clockspinning. The primary win condition revolves around pairing Orvar with Peregrine Drake and a buyback spell to generate infinite mana and an infinite flying army, closing out the table on Turn 7. A dedicated package of cheap hexproof spells shields Orvar from targeted interaction. While the list suffers from a complete absence of tutors and stax, its engine velocity and explosive cloning synergies provide high inevitability once its commander sticks.
