Grumgully's Extra Combat by Buddadragon

Format: Commander

Commander: Grumgully, the Generous

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul "Counters-Matter" Aggro strategy led by Grumgully, the Generous. The primary game plan is to leverage Grumgully s ability to ensure every non-Human creature enters the battlefield "modified" with a +1/+1 counter. This enables immediate synergies with cards like Kodama of the West Tree for ramp, Akki Battle Squad for extra combats, and Uncivil Unrest for lethal damage doubling. The deck excels at wide board states, using token generators like Siege-Gang Commander and Threefold Thunderhulk which benefit from Grumgully's buff to create a massive, resilient army. Victory is typically achieved through overwhelming combat damage, amplified by power-doublers like Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus and Unnatural Growth, or through "burn" effects like Thundering Raiju. While it lacks infinite combos, its high density of synergy and combat inevitability allows it to pressure life totals rapidly in a mid-power environment.
