Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Rakdos Group Slug and Combo list commanded by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. The strategy revolves around deploying symmetrical and asymmetric life-loss permanents such as Roiling Vortex, Spiteful Visions, Fate Unraveler, and Harsh Mentor to trigger Valgavoth on every opponent's turn. This engine provides exceptional card draw velocity and rapidly grows Valgavoth into a lethal flying threat. While chipping down opposing life totals and restricting lifegain, the deck digs through its library for its deterministic win conditions: infinite life-drain loops combining Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror with Sanguine Bond or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. Deflection spells like Bolt Bend and Imp's Mischief protect combo pieces and disrupt opponent interaction, while sweepers like Blasphemous Act and Kardur, Doomscourge keep opposing creature boards in check until the table is drained.
