This Bant deck is commanded by Alistair, the Brigadier and centers on converting historic spells—legendary cards, artifacts, and Sagas—into an overwhelming army of Soldier tokens. Early turns establish mana velocity through cheap rocks and creature-mana engines such as Cryptolith Rite and Jaheira, Friend of the Forest. Once Alistair lands, casting historic permanents rapidly floods the board with tokens. The deck turns this swarm into lethal pressure by activating Alistair's {8}-mana attack ability, which buffs all attacking creatures based on the number of historic permanents controlled, or by deploying devastating finishers like Finale of Devastation and Overwhelming Stampede.
