Deck overview

This deck is a five-color spellslinger and creature hybrid centered on the custom Prepare mechanic and Codie, Ravenous Codex. The game plan focuses on deploying efficient mana dorks and rocks on the first two turns, resolving Codie on Turn 3, and casting versatile prepare creatures by Turn 4. Codie doubles every prepared spell cast, turning cheap spells into overwhelming resource swings like drawing six cards with Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall or tutoring two cards with Emeritus of Woe // Demonic Tutor. By Turn 5, the deck transitions into a lethal threat by resolving Prismari, the Inspiration or generating a wide army of tokens with Galathul Galecaller // Corvid Squall. Supported by pump spells like Spiritcall Enthusiast // Scrollboost and double strike from Quill-Blade Laureate // Twofold Intent, the deck delivers decisive combat damage across two combat phases, concluding the game on Turn 7.
