Prideful Vanguard Shahchas by user8650359

Format: Commander

Commander: Zurgo and Ojutai

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Zurgo and Ojutai is a single-faced commander and the deck's hasty card-advantage engine. The primary plan is to resolve Dragons quickly, turn them sideways, and convert every attack and ETB into damage and cards. Secondary paths abuse artifact/token payoffs: Reckless Fireweaver, Ingenious Artillerist, Ganax/Rapacious treasures, and Elspeth/Bard token doubling. The commander's trigger digs three cards deep and can bounce a Dragon to hand for ETB reuse. There is no true hidden commander; Minion of the Mighty and Astral Dragon act as force-multipliers, with Astral Dragon copying Dragon Tempest serving as the biggest burst. Realistic wins combine evasive commander damage, Dragon ETB pings, and a Dragonhawk or Astral burst to close out opponents.
