Deck overview

This deck combines Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan with +1/+1 counters, sacrifice triggers, token production, and creature-based card flow. The normal plan is to ramp, deploy Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan and a support engine such as Abzan Ascendancy, then sacrifice expendable permanents to grow the team. Torens, Fist of the Angels, Silk, Web Weaver, Bastion of Remembrance, Pitiless Plunderer, and Grim Haruspex turn creature deployment and deaths into a wider board, mana, cards, or incremental drain. The deck reaches a credible snowball around turn 7, but it does not have a deterministic kill or total lockout. Its interaction is broad but mostly one-for-one, and its protection is conditional. The strongest games use counters to make Inspiring Call and combat damage efficient while preserving expendable tokens for Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan.
