Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck is piloted by Ayara, First of Locthwain, leveraging creature sacrifice synergies, incremental life drain, and devotion-based burst damage. The early game focuses on deploying mana rocks and establishing Ayara alongside continuous token generators like Ophiomancer to draw extra cards and chip away at opposing life totals. In the midgame, the deck transitions into board control through asymmetric attrition engines like Grave Pact, targeted creature removal, and scalable sweepers like The Meathook Massacre. Mana doublers like Crypt Ghast and Cabal Coffers generate large amounts of black mana to cast formidable threats such as Grave Titan and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Graveyard recursion spells like Victimize and Dread Return repeatedly loop high-impact creatures for game-ending drain bursts, while Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond provide a compact two-card infinite combo. The deck delivers resilient mid-to-late game inevitability through redundant sacrifice outlets, high devotion, and card advantage.
