Commander: Nekusar, the Mindrazer

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a classic Nekusar, the Mindrazer "draw punisher" deck that weaponizes the extra cards opponents are forced to draw. The plan is straightforward: deploy Nekusar early, then load the table with symmetrical draw engines (Kami of the Crescent Moon, Dictate of Kruphix, Temple Bell) and wheel effects (Windfall, Whispering Madness, Dragon Mage). Each extra card an opponent draws triggers Nekusar's 1-damage ping, and the deck amplifies that pain with Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Orcish Bowmasters, Phyrexian Tyranny, and Fevered Visions. Finishers like Peer into the Abyss on a single opponent or a chain of wheels with Underworld Breach can drain the table. The deck also packs a strong control shell with counterspells, free interaction, and Toxic Deluge to reset the board, making it a grindy, value-oriented deck that wins through accumulated damage rather than a single infinite combo.
