Deck overview

This deck is a high-tempo Boros aggressive strategy centered on Lightning, Army of One. Lightning's Stagger ability doubles all damage dealt to a player and their permanents once combat damage connects, turning modest combat buffs into lethal strikes. The deck accelerates into Lightning on turn 2 or 3, then layers equipment, double strike granters like Reyav, Master Smith and Leyline Axe, and extra combat phases with Aurelia, the Warleader, Combat Celebrant, and Moraug, Fury of Akoum. As Stagger triggers, subsequent strikes and burn deal exponential damage, quickly knocking opponents out one by one. Secondary go-wide token engines like Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon and Forth Eorlingas! ensure combat pressure persists even if the commander is removed.
