Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control strategy designed to leverage discard synergies, madness spells, and graveyard value. Built around Chromium, the Mutable, the deck uses cheap looting creatures like Psychic Frog and Merfolk Looter to smooth draws and fill the graveyard. Value engines such as Bone Miser, Oskar, Rubbish Reclaimer, and Drake Haven convert discarded cards into extra mana, token armies, and spell velocity. The deck controls the tempo of the table through efficient instant-speed removal, countermagic, and asymmetric hate pieces like Teferi, Time Raveler and Narset, Parter of Veils. Board pressure is established around Turn 6 by flashing in Chromium, the Mutable, resolving Hullbreaker Horror, or wiping opposing creatures with Archfiend of Ifnir. The game is closed through unblockable commander damage, flying creature swarms, and incremental life drain.
