Commander: Bilbo, Thief in the Night

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-blue artifact-value deck helmed by Bilbo, Thief in the Night, built around casting spells from unusual zones. Bilbo's cost reduction for non-hand spells pairs with Mystic Forge, The Reality Chip, and Emry, Lurker of the Loch to generate relentless card advantage, while his attack trigger re-casts artifacts, instants, and sorceries from the graveyard. The primary win is a mill loop using Grinding Station and Krark-Clan Ironworks with Emry or Mystic Forge providing recursion, backed by a voltron channel that suits Bilbo up with Sword of Feast and Famine, Sword of Hearth and Home, and Helm of the Host for commander damage. Mindslaver plus recursion offers a soft lock, and Cyberdrive Awakener turns the artifact board into a lethal flying swing. The deck is a value engine first - it grinds card advantage, recurs key pieces, and pivots between combo and combat as the table dictates.
