Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius tempo and control strategy led by Hylda of the Icy Crown. The core game plan focuses on repeatedly tapping opponents' creatures to trigger Hylda's ability. By paying one mana per trigger, the deck floods the board with 4/4 Elemental creature tokens, distributes +1/+1 counters, or scries and draws cards. Dense tapping redundancy through cards like Citadel Siege, Dreamshackle Geist, Hylda's Crown of Winter, and Junk Winder neutralizes incoming attacks and removes blockers while building an overwhelming army. A secondary win condition exists in Approach of the Second Sun, which Hylda's card selection can rapidly dig toward. The interaction suite is backed by efficient countermagic such as Dovin's Veto and one-sided sweepers like Sunblast Angel and Split Up. The deck excels at controlling creature-heavy boards, though it remains mana-intensive and reliant on its commander.
