The Dance With Dragons by Dakofomax

Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Dragon tribal build helmed by The Ur-Dragon, leveraging its eminence cost reduction and powerful attack trigger to generate overwhelming card advantage and board presence. The primary game plan involves ramping aggressively, deploying cost reducers like Urza's Incubator and Dragonspeaker Shaman, then casting a stream of high-impact Dragons. Each combat with The Ur-Dragon draws multiple cards and puts a permanent directly onto the battlefield, creating a snowball of value. Win conditions include overwhelming combat damage from evasive Dragons, direct damage pings from Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas, and potential explosive turns via Sneak Attack or Dracogenesis to chain multiple Dragons in a single turn. The deck also features an extra combat spell in Aggravated Assault to accelerate the clock. Secondary lines involve copying Dragons with Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm and doubling triggers with Roaming Throne, generating massive token armies and repeated value.
